The Ohio Access to Justice Foundation offers a generous Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) to full-time attorneys employed at Ohio’s legal aids.
The Foundation’s LRAP provides up to $6,000 in annual educational loan repayment assistance, offered in the form of annual, forgivable loans. LRAP helps qualifying attorneys pay down student loan debt and earn federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
With a lifetime benefit of up to $75,000 per qualifying participant, the Foundation’s LRAP is one of the most generous programs in the country and supports the recruitment and retention of exceptional attorneys by alleviating the burden of student loan payments.
“The Foundation’s LRAP program is a key reason why I chose to work at a legal services organization in Ohio. It gives me peace of mind that I can afford to continue doing this work without the stress and burden of student loans.”
“As a single mother of two, the Foundation’s LRAP allows me the freedom to practice law helping the most vulnerable and support my family.”
“Because of LRAP, I was able to pay down and then pay off one of my high interest loans. This greatly helped my finances and allowed me to purchase a house. I closed on my house in September and it likely wouldn’t have been possible without the LRAP.”
