Toledo's Advocates for Basic Legal Equality Inc.(ABLE) helped guide Carlos Gutierrez, a native of Honduras, and his spouse, Justin Hines, of Archbold Ohio through the immigration application process. The Lancaster office of Southeastern Ohio Legal Services will close its doors January 31. However, there are ongoing efforts by the local legal community to raise the funds to keep the office open one to two days a week.
The Joint Veterans Commission of Cuyahoga County will honor Cleveland attorney and Vietnam veteran Joseph P. Meissner as its 2013 Outstanding Veteran of the Year during the group's 89th anniversary dinner on Feb. 17.
