Board Member Elected to Senate Leadership Position

Ohio Senator Larry Obhof (R-Medina) has been elected senate president pro tempore, the second highest Ohio Senate leadership position. Obhof, who represents Ashland, Medina, Richland and a part of Holmes counties, has served on the Foundation board since 2013. Read more here.

Federal Anti-Poverty Program to Aid 11 Ohio Counties

Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) has announced expansion of a federal anti-poverty program into 11 Ohio counties, including Meigs County in Southeastern Ohio. Federal statistics show that one out of every four American children lives in poverty, which increases the risk for poor health, failure to graduate and lower income as an adult. Read more here.
