The Supreme Court of Ohio will begin this week to send emails to all Ohio attorneys on active registration, and with an email address on file at the Court’s Attorney Services Division, inviting attorneys to participate in voluntary pro bono reporting for pro bono activities performed in 2013.
The email, from sender “The Supreme Court of Ohio” contains a link to a reporting website maintained outside the court. All information reported through the website is collected without identifiers, in keeping with the Court’s statement that pro bono reporting in Ohio is both voluntary and anonymous.
Voluntary pro bono reporting is now in its sixth year. The reporting website collects information about pro bono legal services performed in 2013. The site has about eight questions and will take an attorney only about ten minutes to complete. The information reported will be used by the court and Ohio’s legal aids to improve delivery of civil legal services to low income Ohioans.
The reporting website will remain open until March 31.
Attorneys who wish to voluntarily report pro bono legal services provided in 2013, and cannot locate the email with the link to the reporting website, may request another copy of the link by email to [email protected].
