In addition to urging a pay increase for Ohio’s judges, Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor stated during her state of the judiciary address today that success stories extend to judges’ lawyer colleagues. O’Connor’s speech was to judges attending the annual meeting of the Ohio Judicial Conference, in Columbus.

Lawyers were recognized for donating more than 100,000 of pro bono legal work in 2013. “These results clearly show that Ohio attorneys continue to step up to provide a voice to those who would otherwise not be heard, for legal problems that affect people deeply,” she said.
