Janet Green Marbley, Administrator for the Supreme Court of Ohio Clients’ Security Fund and a Foundation board member, has received Capital University Law School’s David D. White Award. The award is named for the first African American to graduate from Capital’s law school, who then became the first African American to practice law in Columbus.

Attorney Marbley graduated from Capital University Law School in 1979 and was appointed to her position at the court in 1995. She is also chair of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Client Protection and was recently appointed to the board of the Miller Becker Institute for Professional Responsibility at the University of Akron School of Law. She is active in numerous other professional and community organizations in addition to her service on the board of the Foundation.
