On Oct. 2, legal leaders gathered at the Ohio Statehouse for Perspectives from the Federal Bench: Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence. The Foundation was honored to be the beneficiary of the CLE program, which provided updates on the state of the federal judiciary.
Attendees enjoyed panel discussions on AI, changes to the rules of evidence, and a federal court update. Judges from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit graciously lent their expertise to the panel discussions and were available for networking following the event.
“We’re grateful to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the panelists, the planning committee, and the sponsors for making the event a success,” said Angie Lloyd, the Foundation’s executive director. “It was a team effort, and we’re so grateful that the proceeds will benefit low-income Ohioans with civil legal needs.”
The Ohio Access to Justice Foundation is the largest funder of civil legal services in Ohio. A gift to the Foundation supports Ohio’s legal aids.
