The board of Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS) will vote on a plan in December that would shut down its offices in Lancaster, Marietta and Zanesville. SEOLS serves 30 counties in southeastern Ohio and has experienced a decrease in funding from roughly $7.4 million in 2008 to $4.3 million in 2013.
“It is with deep regret we have to shut down these offices,” James Daniels, director of SEOLS said. “It’s been a painful decision. Our Lancaster office has always had strong community support and great support from the Fairfield County Bar Association.”
