If you work in public service, you’re likely surrounded by compassionate, hard-working, early-career lawyers dedicated to making a difference for low-income Ohioans. Now, you can recognize an outstanding emerging attorney with the Foundation’s new Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star Award honors an attorney in civil legal services whose career reflects exceptional growth. Intended for an attorney with seven years or less of professional experience in nonprofit civil legal services, the Rising Star Award recognizes performance that demonstrates leadership, innovation, and professionalism. While eligible nominees may have yet to reach a senior position, their early accomplishments distinguish them as future leaders.
“We know there are a lot of incredible nonprofit attorneys out there who may only be a few years into their careers, yet they’re already making a sizable impact at their organizations and for their clients,” said Angie Lloyd, the Foundation’s executive director. “We’re pleased to introduce the Rising Star Award as a statewide recognition for these outstanding leaders.”
The Rising Star Award is open to attorneys at all Ohio civil legal service nonprofits. To nominate an outstanding attorney, please complete the nomination form on the Foundation’s website. Nominations are due September 13, 2024.
